no-nead,-fast-and-easy-breadBuckwheat or emmer is an ancient grain with an origin of 9000 years ago. Emmer has a bold-flavour and usually makes heavy and dense bread compared to wheat bread. This flour lasts long for a year too.  Buckwheat flour contains a high level of vitamin B1 and B2 as well as copper, manganese, potassium, and zinc relative to wheat flour. Pineapple is a symbol to convey wealth and high status for hundreds of years. It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. Due to the health benefits of flour and the fruit today I wanted to try my hands on a dump cake.

Hassle-free and craving for a cake with a tropical flair to your day. Pineapple fruit lovers here is a super simple dump cake to enjoy. It’s simple because you need not have knowledge of baking. A kid can also help. Seriously! .A few key ingredients and you dump them together. Now that summer is approaching. A Summer-friendly dessert. Pineapple is an amazing fruit but when combined with emmer flour makes a good combo. I personally do not use any processed oil or cold-pressed oil. My choice is coconut butter homemade. You can check my upcoming post for the coconut butter recipe. Pineapple is a delicious, bright, fun flavour to incorporate into your recipes. This cake is soft and moist due to the natural juices available in the pineapple. While the cake is baking you will love the smell coming from the oven.

Enjoy with a topping like ice-cream, fresh fruits, or maple syrup too if you do not wish to have the plain cake.

Pineapple Dump Cake without ovensavoury-bajra-or-pearl-millet-bites

  1. Follow step 1-9 ( from the recipe given below)
  2. Place a wire stand inside the pan
  3. Cover the pan with the lid
  4. Heat the pan in medium flame for 10 mins
  5. After 10mins place the tray inside the preheated pan
  6. Cook for 35-40 mins on low flame
  7. Prick a fork in the middle of  the cake 
  8. If the fork comes out clean cake is ready to serve.

Pineapple Dump Cake Recipe with and without oven

Ingredients

  • 250gms Pineapple
  • 3 tbsp Organic jaggery
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup Palm Jaggery powder
  • 1-½ cup Emmer wheat or Whole-wheat flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup coconut butter or cold-pressed coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop Pineapple into chunks
  2. Squeeze ½ Lemon
  3. Add 3 tbsp of Organic Jaggery and vanilla extract
  4. Mix well and rest it for 5 minutes to release the fruit juice.
  5. Once the juice releases add palm jaggery or organic jaggery powder
  6. Add emmer wheat flour or whole wheat flour along with the baking powder
  7. Mix slightly with the flour.
  8. Add coconut butter or cold-pressed coconut oil. Stir
  9. Dump the filling and spread evenly in the tray.
  10. Preheat the oven and bake 180C for 35-40mins.
